v1.7.2

2026-08-18

Fixes

  • Fixed licenses unexpectedly reporting "already in use on another device": Part of the information used to identify your PC could no longer be read on recent versions of Windows. When that lookup failed, the same PC was treated as a different one and the license activation was lost. Identification now relies on a value that can always be read, which resolves the problem.
  • License checks at startup are now faster: The identification step above could take several seconds; it now completes almost instantly.
  • Existing activations carry over to the new identification method: The app automatically finds and adopts the device registration made under the previous method, so there is no need to re-enter your license key after updating.

Other

  • Free trials carry over as well, including the number of remaining conversions.

v1.7.1

2026-08-17

Changes

  • Disconnecting other devices now applies only to devices that have stopped communicating: When the device limit is reached, only devices the server has confirmed as disconnected can be released. If the app is still running on another PC, you will see a message naming that device instead, and no disconnection is performed. This prevents accidentally disconnecting a PC that is in use and losing unsaved work there.
  • Device status is re-checked right before release: Even if a device's status changes after the confirmation screen is shown, the app queries the server for the latest status immediately before releasing, so a device in use is never released by mistake.

Fixes

  • License seats are less likely to be lost during temporary network issues: The interval of periodic communication with the license server has been shortened, leaving enough headroom to retry before the seat times out even if one ping fails.

v1.7.0

2026-08-08

Fixes

  • Fixed activation getting stuck: When another PC was holding the license seat, the disconnect confirmation screen could not be reached, so pressing Activate did nothing. No error was shown either, leaving no way to tell what was wrong. The confirmation screen now appears correctly, so you can disconnect the other PC yourself.
  • Move to another PC without waiting after an abnormal exit: Previously, if the app was force-quit or lost power, the license seat stayed occupied for up to an hour and no other PC could start. You can now disconnect a device even when it may still be running, after reading the warning. Because the disconnected device may lose unsaved work, "Back" is the default choice on that screen.

Improvements

  • Check for updates from Settings: Settings → About now has a "Check for updates" button that tells you right away whether a newer version exists. When one does, the release notes and a download button are shown.
  • Quiet notice when a new version is published: The app checks once at startup and, only when an update exists, shows a small mark on the Settings tab. Startup is not delayed and no dialog interrupts you.

v1.6.1

2026-08-04

Improvements

  • TIFF output built for photogrammetry: Temperature TIFFs now carry RTK positional accuracy (horizontal and vertical), focal length, and camera identification. Pix4D and other photogrammetry tools can read the per-image accuracy of each capture, so the precision of an RTK flight carries through to processing. Previously only camera orientation was embedded, and imported TIFFs were treated as having default accuracy (5 m horizontal / 10 m vertical).
  • Positional accuracy also stated in JPG output: Accuracy is now published in a vendor-neutral form, so converted images are handled with the same precision in any software.
  • Version shown in Settings: The Settings screen now has an "About" section with the app version — handy when contacting support.

Fixes

  • TIFF metadata is now fully specification-compliant, resolving structural issues that could stop some analysis tools from reading it.
  • The license seat is now released when the app exits, so you no longer have to wait up to an hour before using the license on another PC. Offline startup behavior is unchanged.
  • When another PC is using the license, the license screen now says so. If you simply cannot reach the internet, the app keeps running within the grace period as before.
  • Fixed an issue where the window could stay blank while the app checked the license on startup.

v1.6.0

2026-07-31

Improvements

  • Easier upgrade from trial to a purchased license: You can now enter a purchased license key directly — no logout required. The trial-end dialog and the license screen include a new "Enter a purchased key" path. If the key entry fails or a network error occurs, your running trial is preserved as-is.

v1.5.0

2026-07-30

Improvements

  • Camera orientation (attitude) embedded in output: Converted TIFF / JPG files now carry the camera's capture attitude (yaw, pitch, roll) in a Pix4D-compatible form. Photogrammetry software such as Pix4D (mapper / matic) can now read the camera orientation automatically, regardless of camera model. GPS location and temperature data are preserved as before.

v1.4.0

2026-07-22

Improvements

  • Atmospheric temperature parameter: "Atmospheric temperature" has been added to the capture parameters you can override at conversion, alongside emissivity, reflected temperature, object distance and relative humidity. This matters especially for the H30T, where atmospheric temperature has a large effect on the measured result, so setting the correct value gives a more accurate conversion. (It is automatically disabled for cameras that do not expose it, such as the H20T, which shows "cannot be changed for this image.")

v1.3.1

2026-07-22

Fixes

  • Clear message for out-of-range parameters: When specifying emissivity, distance, humidity, reflected temperature or atmospheric temperature during conversion, entering a value the image does not allow (for example a distance above the limit) previously showed only an internal error code. It now explains the valid range in both Japanese and English, e.g. "Distance must be between 1 and 25 m." Valid ranges depend on the image (camera and capture conditions).

v1.3.0

2026-07-22

Improvements

  • Adjustable parameters in FLIR Tools: Converted images can now be opened in FLIR Tools with emissivity, reflected temperature, distance, humidity and atmospheric temperature all editable. Emissivity and reflected temperature are recalculated with the same accuracy as the DJI native tool.
  • Rewritten radiometric model: Temperature data is now written as a FLIR-compatible radiometric signal, so parameter recalculation in FLIR Tools works correctly. Temperatures at the conversion parameters match the DJI native tool.

v1.2.1

2026-07-22

Fixes

  • Logout could fail permanently: If the license or device registration had already been removed on the server, pressing the logout button appeared to do nothing and the app stayed logged in even after a restart. Logout now completes correctly in this state.
  • Deleted licenses no longer auto-login: A license that has been removed on the server is now logged out automatically at the next online check.
  • Visible logout errors: When logout fails, the reason is now shown in a dialog.

Improvements

  • Diagnostic logging: License-related events are now recorded to a log file to speed up support investigations.

v1.2.0

2026-07-20

New features

  • Free trial: You can now try the app instantly without a license key — just click "Start Free Trial" on the license screen (no sign-up, up to 20 conversions). An internet connection is required for conversions during the trial.
  • Trial counter: While on the trial, the remaining conversion count is always shown at the top of the window. Click it to open the purchase page.
  • Purchase prompt: When the trial conversions are used up, the app now shows a purchase dialog.

Improvements

  • Automatic re-activation at startup: Launching the app after it had been closed for a long time could show a "re-activation required" message. The app now re-activates automatically and continues normally.
  • Initial display language: On non-Japanese versions of Windows, the app now defaults to English (previously some locales fell back to Japanese). A language chosen in Settings still takes priority.

v1.1.1

2026-07-08

Bug fixes

  • Fixed license activation occasionally failing with a "check-in required" message: If the app had not been launched for a while, entering a license key or retrying activation could fail with this message. Activation now performs the check-in automatically, so it completes normally in this state.

v1.1.0

2026-07-03

New features

  • Color palette selection: You can now embed a color palette into the FLIR-compatible JPEG output. Choose from 10 palettes (default: Rainbow):
    • Ironbow / Rainbow / Rainbow HC / Inferno / Hot / Lava / Coolwarm / Arctic / White Hot / Black Hot
    • Pick a palette while previewing its colors under "Set default color palette (optional)". Your selection is saved and restored the next time you launch the app.
    • Opening the file in FLIR software (FLIR Tools, etc.) shows it in the embedded palette automatically (palette source "from image").
